Welcome to Central Connecticut Endodontics website.  This site was constructed to help patients with questions they may have about endodontic treatment.  It will also let our patients get to know the staff a little better.  Please excuse the appearance as we construct it.

Who We Are

Central Connecticut Endodontics, CCE, is a professional dental corporation that specializes in root canal therapy. The goal of the professionals and staff is to provide the highest quality of care to its patients in a comfortable, pleasant environment.

Our office personal are dedicated to the comfort and caring of patients: Many staff members have been associated with CCE between ten and twenty years lending stability, experience and expertise to the relaxed atmosphere that is evident in each office.

The professionals and staff have learned that patients want good communication with care givers: To that end, CCE providers facilitate and welcome discussion and suggestions. This also adds to the quality of care.

Central Connecticut Endodontics is dedicated to making the endodontic experience as pleasant as possible through providing the highest quality of compassionate, most current care available.

Practice History

The corporation was initiated by Dr. Seymour Melnick in 1962 at 100 Constitution Plaza. In the early 1970,s Drs. Rose and Pierogrossi joined Dr.Melnick in the Hartford office. Shortly thereafter, the partnership added offices in Vernon and Glastonbury. In 1979, Dr. John Russo joined the practice and a fourth office was opened in Middletown. In 1991, the Hartford office was moved to the newly renovated Armory in West Hartford. In 1999 Dr. Mark Melnick joined CCE after completing his endodontic training in microscopic surgical and non-surgical endodontics at Boston University. In 2005, Dr Blythe Kaufman also joined CCE after completing three years of post doctoral training at the University of Connecticut where she received her masters degree and certification in Endodontics. Her training not only included microscopic surgical and non-surgical treatment, but also, research expertise.

As of 2005, CCE has 4 fully operational and staffed offices that are conveniently placed to serve central Connecticut.
